UltraEdit – an excellent text editor, although calling it just ‘text editor’ really doesn’t do it justice.
Graphics
UnFREEz – freeware GIF animator.
LunaPic Image Editor – not software as such, but this online image editor gives you a wide range of tools including one which I find really useful, the ability to set the background of an image to transparent. Very useful when you’re floating an image against a coloured background such as a Web page.
Photography
AutoStitch – freeware automated image stitching.
Exif Reader – freeware Exif reader.
